How to Crochet a Basket - Mini Bean Stitch

Learn how to crochet this gorgeous basket using the mini bean stitch.

This is a perfect project for beginners, which combines a number of different stitches.

The circular base uses the half double crochet stitch, with the sides created using the easy mini bean stitch. Finally we combine a row of single crochet and the crab stitch to create a beautiful corded effect to give it a wonderful extra level of detail.

This basket was created using a 6mm crochet hook along with Bernat Maker, Home Dec. in the colour clay.

The great thing about this basket is its sturdiness, which requires no extra support. It makes a wonderful pen pot or would equally look lovely in a bathroom to hold cotton buds or cotton wool pads.

Happy Hooking.
